My take on the KImber TLE/RL
I see allot of people with simple reviews based on short experiences. I thought I would give the gun 6 months before I jumped to the blogs to express my opinions of the firearm unlike most that I see.
Backround: I am not a firearms expert nor do I pretend to be one. Just your everyday shooter.
I recently have been testing a Kimber TLE/RL-II and wanted to report my initial findings. It is a 40 ounce, all steel, John Browning pattern, 1911 model, single action, semi-automatic pistol. It differs from the 97-year-old original in several minor, but no major, ways.
I'm still looking for my first 1911 with a budget of a little over $1K. The Kimber Custom TLE/RL II has caught my eye, but I'm hoping some owners of this 1911 could chime in with their thoughts. On other forums, I've read people are not happy with the quality and customer service of Kimber.
Would I be making a mistake purchasing the Kimber Custom TLE/RL II?
